Eric Clapton's Please Be With Me meets Mandy Moore's version of Umbrella in my art journal. Do these songs go together? Only on paper--and in my head.
One Wednesday in the middle of my life
October 24, 2007 at 07:13 This morning
The scale had a good report
My hair fell into place easily
The sun shone
My parka kept me warm in the wintry air
The traffic didn’t clog my route
The bus arrived on time
My iPod whispered good things
Into my ear.
This morning
Clapton is God
With a message for me,
One who is standing at a Crossroads:
Don’t be afraid
Don't be in a hurry
Believe in the journey
Plant your love
And let it grow.

Wishful thinking

A silly song by a silly looking man, but it's perfect for a Monday, y'all:
"Kiss my ass, I bought a boat, I'm going out to sea."
Lyle Lovett-- "If I had a Boat"

Sinners make the best saints

Recently a close friend said, "I have faith in you. You're the only saint I have."
Those words of encouragement inspired this piece of art.
