Finally, a photo of the Versace glasses

glasses three.jpg

I admit that I raised a big ruckus about the new glasses and how cool they were and how much I loved them, and yet when I look at these photos, the frames don't show anything especially remarkable. I guess the magic of the new glasses is in the heart of the wearer and not the eye of the beholder.  I'm thrilled to finally be able to see at all distances and the purple frames just rock my socks off.  (Photo below is in different light and shows them in all their colorful glory.)

I think the shape is very flattering. And choosing purple--a very unusual and "designer" color is probably very daring for you. That's what makes the wow factor.

I think they both are very flattering and, like you said, because you feel good in them and can SEE, you are just beaming--which makes them super flattering!

They are sen-sa-tion-al!!!!

I thought about you yesterday, as I made an eye doctor appointment for August 6th, and will probably immediately choose new frames. But, as I will be away roughly August 10 to August 20, I will not get those new glasses until August 21.

LOVE THEM!! They look awesome! They're very you--professional looking and a little wacky & fun at the same time! :) An excellent purchase!

They are gorgeous. I love the purple color. And damn the cost. I used to worry about spending a lot on glasses or getting a perm for my hair, etc., until a friend said, It's something your wear every day. It's a basic part of your looks. It's part of your personality. You can skimp on other stuff, but not something that affects your looks on such a basic level. To say nothing of how good you feel every time you put them on. Instead of thinking, "Yeah, I really should have gotten the purple ones." :-))

Oh, V, they suit you so perfectly! I love them and the way they frame your eyes. They're gorgeous.

Super cool! I too, need to go get new glasses. I don't know why I put it off for so long. I had two pair one with progressive lenses and one with tri-focals and both have lost a lens. I couldn't figure out what was wrong driving home the other night. Thought my eyes were really going weird on me.

You have inspired me to just do it and go to the eye doctor. I keep turning down roads based on the number of letters as I can't read the signs....been lost twelve times at least!

Love the purple frames.

Very nice! It makes me think I could maybe pull off some purple specs myself... like you've I've always gone for the tortoise shell look or bronze wires. My newest pair of specs are the same shape as yours but in the ho-hum shell. I also need the progressives but have been putting off my appointment until the kids get back in school.

Perfect. You can never go wrong with a Versace, unless your first name is Gianni :-)

My drag queen friends here in pink Antwerp (Belgium) advised a terracotta shaded foundation, which would really compliment your face.

And trust me, these girlzz (well, almost) are real pro's.

Peter,

Terracotta does sound perfect--as long as we go toward peach and not orange. I wonder if Lancome is the best brand? Now if the Antwerp Queens will share their secrets to their firm behinds, I'll be givin a good view coming and going.
