I came all the way from Brussels to America...

...to discover a Belgian restaurant within walking distance of Rock Grrrl's apartment in Occoquan, Virginia.

Life is full of surprises.

And today is a historic day, y'all. No, I'm not talking about the celebration of American independence, I'm talking about something really important to the world and blogosphere: this is my 500th post! When you see the fireworks tonight, you'll know the U.S. is celebrating a truly momentous occasion. I fully expect the President to send me an e-mail and invite me for dinner. I hope he serves BBQ. : )

So, did you try that Belgian restaurant? I hear that there is a Belgian restaurant in Pittsburgh, they serve moules-frites. I have to try it.

Ortizzle, I didn't eat there. My kids were lobbying for America's famous Arby's roast beef sandwiches and it just seemed wrong to eat Belgian food outside of Belgium.
