The sitting room that opens to the kitchen. The mantel is antique.

Kitchen. The cabinets and tiles were handmade by local artisans.

A library with lots of rooms for books. This will be A's bedroom.

The deck wraps around the house and has two seating areas like this one.

I just went over to the photo album to see all of the shots. Gorgeous, every inch of it. The wrap-around split level deck and the surrounding woods are to die for! I got quite a kick out of the old fashioned toilet with the pull chain and cistern (toilet tank) high up on the wall. Exactly like the one in my old studio apartment in Madrid... except mine did not have the lovely wood finish, LOL!

Wow. Lovely in every possible way. Even though it was a hassle, it will be wonderful to be able to picture where you will live when you return to the States.

Congrats on pulling it off. You packed a LOT into your trip.

Amazing place!

In the green suburbia North of Antwerp city, Belgium, this kind of house would easily sell for 300,000 EURO (multiply by 1.4 to get the amount in $)

It is AMAZING! I love the pictures you've posted and once I get Ollie down for his nap I'm going to come back and check out your album. I *love* that library, holy crap! And the tiles in the kitchen are great -- they really match the cabinets nicely. Such a lovely home!

It's a beautiful home and I can imagine it will give you great pleasure in the coming months to envision your family settling into it next year. Congratulations!

Very tasteful and tidy with a ton of amenities. I can tell it is a much-cared-for home. The outdoors living area is gorgeous and restful. A good choice that you must feel good about.

V, it's really beautiful inside and out. I just know you all will be cozy and happy there as you repatriate yourselves next year.
Congratulations.

Hmmm, is that a wine rack I spy to the left of the fireplace? Very handy, if it is. Lurv the wall o'books too. Cuteness abounds. Congratulations!

Wow. Really, just wow. Oh, apart from: oh, the bookcases!!! Gorgeous. You did really well to find that house - I can imagine you being very, very happy there.

Platy,

The bookcases go all the way around the room.

I think we'll be really happy here too. Books and trees--my favorite things.
