Just like me

I see myself in this crooked tree with shallow roots, casting a blue shadow and hanging onto its leaves in the depths of winter.

Quite profound, this is. And a beautiful tree.

After reading several of your posts last night, I have borrowed a short quote from one of them (and given you credit) which I used in a post of my own. I thought it was wonderful, and I hope you don't mind. I wish you good luck with your big move back to the USA.

I'm glad you have not packed your computer away yet!

...I know what you mean, but I see nothing "shallow" in you, ever. Even your roots are deeper than you think. You have roots deep in love of people who know you, and your wonderful kids, and your family.

See my blog. ;)

My husband always wanted to get one of these trees and care for it. Really beautiful.

V, I sincerely don't see shallow roots in you. It seems to me that yours are deeply held in the ground, with a few stragglers peeping through as you go through this difficult journey in life. But still, held solid, with the help of your beloved family and friends who love you. You are strong, you are alive, and you are beautiful.
