These are some of my favorite scenes from a morning walk with my camera. The cottage with all the flowers is one of my favorite houses. You can't see in the picture, but the windows are stained glass. I love the white chicken coop and the "secret" gardens I can see as I stroll. Roadside shrines are common here. I'm not sure who builds them or who tends them. The smaller of the two pictured here is devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The other is to Mary.
