Thanks Shirl Grrrl!

Shirl Grrrl, the woman who turned me on to stamping and card making, sent me a FABULOUS stamp set for my birthday. The Stampin' Up Carte Postale set has French flair and was the perfect compliment for my French script background stamp and Enchante' paper set.  Her package arrived on Friday night, and I couldn't wait to pull my inks and card stock out and get busy. While some people are capable of sophisticated, multi-layered designs, I'm not a card "artist."  I keep it simple and enjoy it as a craft. It's not overly embellished but I love this card. It's photographed against a sheet of designer paper.

there's a group of ladies in my office that get together to do cards. they made this great card for my son and it's still on our mantle...yep, there it is...oh, you probably can't see that from there in belgium...

It's a beautiful card!! And I second Shirl-grrrl's ability to get you started!! She helped us get some supplies and my little E-grrrl had a blast doing Christmas cards and is working on her Valentines now!

My MIL's really into Stampin' Up -- she's having a Stampin' Up party at the end of the month. I KNOW I'm going to go and end up ordering all these stamps...that I don't have the time for...

You're welcome! That set had your name all over it so I was glad that you had resisted it as I had already bought it for you! I love the papers as well. Your card is perfect!
